On May 22, 30 Community Policing Advisory Board members were awarded "Community Member Assistance" Citations by Madison Police Department Chief Shon Barnes for their work over the last 11 months helping to build trust and legitimacy between police and the community.

Pictured here with Chief Barnes and Assistant Chief John Patterson are some of the honorees: Central District Advisor Paul Quinn; South's Shar-Ron Buie; West's Jeff Kingston, Chelsey Tubbs, Courtney Carlson, Eugene Crisler, and Mrunalini Kulkarni; and Midtown's Patricia Williams. Along with them from MCPF are Joe Balles, Liz Merfeld, and Joe Durkin.
